We are patrons of the arts in what is frankly, an oasis of culture. We are actively looking for local artists to hang their work on the shop. We don't take a commission on sales, just one piece of our choice. We can arrange private views etc. You want in?

David Vallade - Scratching the Surface: Artefacts and Souvenirs

Current Show: Sarah Blue
Squarah Blue Graduated from Bretton Hall Faculty of Arts with an honours degree in backstage theatre design and practice, concentrating on light and space. Worked in various theatres, moving on to visuals for events, converting non-specific venues, like community centres and outside spaces, into music venues. Worked with the GlowBallistic AllStars and LS8 while at the same time creating visuals at established clubs, including Ministry of Sound and Turnmills, with the VJ group Reality Check. Time out travelling was inspiring. These paintings are a culmination of all this. They are aspiring to portray an illusion whilst retaining the reality, in this case a 3D illusion working alongside the 2D reality of the form.
